Aneta Black, BSN, RN

Aneta's path to nursing began in 2011 as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where hands-on care taught her the weight of trust families place in the hands of a caregiver. That early lesson — that dignity and attentiveness matter as much as clinical skill — has anchored everything she's built since.

She went on to earn her RN, BSN in 2023, with a background spanning med-surg, post-surgical recovery, geriatric care, and hospice support. Over more than a decade of practice, she's carried the same values forward: personalized attention, seamless support, and a quiet professionalism that puts people at ease.

Along the way, Aneta saw a gap that traditional home care couldn't close. Insurance-allotted visits often limit a caregiver to just 30-45 minutes with a patient — barely enough time to check vitals, let alone build the kind of relationship healing depends on. Many older adults want nothing more than to age in place, surrounded by what's familiar, but find themselves pushed toward facilities simply because the system can't give them enough time. Aneta founded Shoal Light to change that equation entirely.

Today, as founder of Shoal Light Concierge Care, Aneta personally delivers every visit herself — bringing the same standard of clinical expertise and personal attention to every client, in Cheboygan and throughout Northern Michigan. Her mission is simple: care that feels personal, dependable, and dignified, one client at a time.
